ACTRA Ottawa invites you to enjoy the outdoors and participate in the Spring Cleaning the CapitalProgram! ACTRA Ottawa’s Green Committee is sponsoring a team to join the clean-up on Sunday May 24 from 1:30-3:30 at Mud Lake as part of community efforts to make our city clean and green. Meeting point and other information is provided once you’ve registered. Plastic gloves and bags will be provided, with free local street parking. Friends and family of ACTRA members are welcome, also a great opportunity for students to add to their community involvement volunteer hours.
The Cleaning the Capital Program is a not-for-profit initiative supported by the city of Ottawa and made possible by generous sponsorship. Let’s join the 1.5 million local volunteers since 1994 who have participated in nearly 30,000 cleanup projects throughout the city. As a result, over 1.2 million kilograms of waste have been removed from our public spaces to help Ottawa stay clean and green!
